LAHORE, Jul 24 (APP):The Lahore Electric Supply Company (LESCO) has recovered more than Rs 7.82 million from 115 dead defaulters in all the five districts- Lahore, Sheikhupura, Nankana Sahib, Kasur and Okara- on the 270th day of its recovery campaign.
A LESCO spokesman told media here Wednesday that on the 270th day, SE (Superintending Engineer) Nisar Sarwar has recovered outstanding dues of Rs 1.37 million from 16 defaulters in Northern Circle; SE Umar Bilal recovered Rs 0.97 million from 13 defaulters in Eastern Circle; SE (Central Circle) Shabbir recovered Rs 0.93 million from 21 defaulters; SE (South Circle) collected Rs 0.64 million from 16 defaulters; SE (Nankana Circle) Muhammad Hussain recovered Rs 0.63 million from 11 defaulters; SE (Sheikhupura Circle) Najamul Hassan recovered Rs 1.75 million from 17 defaulters; SE (Okara Circle) collected Rs 0.48 million from 09 defaulters and SE (Kasur Circle) Ahmad Shahzad Chughtai recovered Rs 1.05 million from 12 defaulters in Kasur Circle.
During the 270 days of anti-power theft campaign under the supervision of Director (Customer Services) Rai Muhammad Asghar, the spokesman added, the company recovered more than Rs 3.34 billion outstanding dues from 108,278 dead defaulters. He elaborated that up till now the company has collected Rs 482.65 million from 15,653 defaulters in Northern Circle; Rs 738.10 million from 14,304 defaulters in Eastern Circle; Rs 485.25 million from 12,494 defaulters in Central Circle; Rs 180.07 million from 6,554 defaulters in South Circle; Rs 275.09 million from 9,559 defaulters in Nankana Circle; Rs 478.21 million from 12,650 defaulters in Sheikhupura Circle; Rs 216.78 million from 16,939 defaulters in Okara Circle and Rs 485.20 million from 20,125 defaulters in Kasur Circle.
