KARACHI, Jul 24 (APP): Chairman Prime Minister’s Youth Program Rana Mashhood Ahmad Khan on Wednesday announced that first Hockey League in the country will be organized for the revival of the glory of Pakistan’s national game.
Talking to media during his visit to Karachi University’s Youth Development Centre, Rana Mashhood said Prime Minister’s Sports Talent Hunt program will be started to provide opportunities to the youth to show their talent and they would be provided state of the art training facilities.
He said 10 sports academies for Cricket, Hockey, Football, Volleyball and other games would be established to provide opportunities to the youth to shine the country’s name across the world.
He said Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif had directed to revive past glory of Pakistan’s national game and as a result of which after 13 years Pakistan Hockey team reached in the final of an International event.
Mashhood said our hockey players are being invited by international Hockey clubs and they were ready to leave for Australia to join sports club there.
He said there was a lot of talent in our country which needs platform to flourish and PM’s Youth Development Program under the patronage of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif would provide them new hope and future. He hoped that in coming few months the sports grounds will also be seen filled with our talented youth and the nation will see progress in the fields of education and Information Technology sector.
Replying to a question, Rana Mashhood said that the PML-N government had increased the budget for higher education every year till 2018, but unfortunately our leader Muhammad Nawaz Sharif was disqualified in a false case, while the budget for education was started reducing annually.
He said PML-N strongly resisted not to reduce higher education budget as party was committed to promote education in the country.
Criticizing former PTI regime, Rana said former rulers put the country into economic mess but PML (N) and its allies take the country towards right direction.
