FAISALABAD, Jul 24 (APP):The Agriculture Department arranged an awareness seminar to educate farmers on how to increase the production of fruits and vegetables.
Deputy Director Fruits & Vegetable Section Agriculture Department Ghulam Ayesha said that fruits and vegetables are essential commodities which can not only cater to food requirements but these items can also play a pivotal role in mitigating financial constraints of the growers if the farmers pay heed to increase their production and improve its quality.
The farmers were also informed about preparation of compost from the waste of fruits and vegetables for using it to fertile the land for next crops.
The agriculture officers also distributed pamphlets among the farmers so that they could get guidance from the recommendations of agriculture experts for increasing production of fruits and vegetables at farm level.
