RAWALPINDI, Jul 23 (APP):The police have arrested the leader of a street crime gang, along with two accomplices in the jurisdiction of R. A Bazaar police station on Tuesday, informed police spokesman.
The gang members identified as Umar alias Mullah, Waqar, and Abbas, were held with stolen money Rs. 1,25,000, a laptop, and a mobile phone from their possession. Police have also recovered weapons used in the crime.
The swift police action resulted in the capture of the notorious Mullah gang, known for their involvement in numerous street crimes.
Following their arrest, the suspects have been shifted to jail for an identification parade, where they are expected to reveal more revelations.
SP Nasir Nawaz commended SDPO Cantt, SHO RA Bazar, and the police team for their efforts to nab the criminals.
He assured that all legal steps will be taken to ensure the culprits are punished and emphasized the ongoing crackdown against active organized and criminal gangs.
He made it clear that it is prime duty of police to protect the lives and properties of people.
