ABBOTTABAD, Jul 17 (APP):Deputy Commissioner Hazara Syed Zaheer-ul-Islam and Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Hazara, Tahir Ayub Khan on Wednesday conducted a comprehensive inspection of the procession routes and control room operations in Abbottabad on the occasion of the 10th of Muharram.
During their visit, District Police Officer (DPO) Abbottabad Umar Tufail briefed them on the security arrangements and the functionality of the CCTV control room. They received detailed updates on the procession’s security status and other administrative preparations.
The Commissioner Hazara and DIG Hazara also engaged with key stakeholders including members of peace committee, mourners’ committee, traders’ associations and media representatives. They expressed appreciation for their collaborative efforts in ensuring a peaceful environment and commended the police for their diligent contributions.
They inspected the CCTV control room at DPO Office Abbottabad where they reviewed the technical surveillance of all procession routes. This oversight aimed to enhance security measures and ensure effective management of the event.
