BALAKOT, Jul 11 (APP): Advisor to the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for Tourism and Culture Zahid Chan Zeb Thursday conducted a comprehensive visit to Tehsil Balakot and Kaghan Valley to inspect various development schemes under the Department of Tourism.
During the visit, he specifically reviewed the progress at key tourist spots along the banks of the Kunhar River, Ghaniul Site, and Manur Valley Road. Expressing severe displeasure and frustration over the non-completion of certain schemes within the stipulated time, he issued immediate orders to expedite the construction of these roads and all other tourism projects.
“The construction of highways plays a crucial role in the development of tourism, it facilitates easier access for tourists to these scenic spots and enhances the appeal of our tourist areas,” stated the Advisor. He emphasized the importance of completing these projects promptly to boost the region’s tourism potential.
Zahid Chan Zeb also announced that he would conduct surprise visits to tourist spots across the province. He warned that any negligence in the timely and quality completion of development schemes would result in immediate disciplinary action against the responsible officers.
Local MPA Munir Laghmani, Director General of Kaghan Development Authority (KDA) Muhammad Shabbir, Chief Planning Officer of the Department of Tourism Syed Zain Ali Shah Gilani, Assistant Commissioner Balakot Syeda Basharat Shah, officers from the Kite Project, other officials, and local dignitaries were also accompanied the Advisor during the visit.
