Governor KP visits GIZ Headquarters, assures cooperation to end unemployment

PESHAWAR, Jul 11 (APP): Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Faisal Karim Kundi has said that cooperation would be extended to Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) that were endeavoring to end unemployment through imparting technical education.
He said this during his visit to Headquarters of German Organization GIZ here on Thursday. Member Provincial Assembly, Ahmad Karim Kundi was also present on the occasion.
During visit, the Governor was briefed about the working and operational matters of GIZ and the programs being underway in the organization.
The Governor visited different sections of GIZ and stressed to introduce training programs that are compatible with the needs of international and domestic markets adding that overseas ministry should also be consulted in selection of courses.
He said that we should also prepare youth to work and tap potential in Germany. He also appreciated the targeted programs for women and said its implications would be far reaching and beneficial. He also suggested establishment of institutes of excellence in backward and result-producing areas of the province.
On the occasion, the Governor was informed about the working opportunities in Germany and it was agreed to launch an awareness campaign with the support of the Governor House. The Governor was also informed that GIZ was working for the last several years for empowerment of youth through training programs that were conducted by competent and trained professionals.
The KP Governor also discussed various plans for development of youth and suggested proposals to enhance capabilities of younger generation through different technical programs.
