LAHORE, Jul 11 (APP):Capital City Police Officer Lahore Bilal Siddique Kamyana, accompanied by the members of Cabinet Committee for Law and Order, visited Nisar Haveli and Karbala Gamay Shah here on Thursday.
During the visit, they inspected the central procession route for Ashura and reviewed security arrangements. Agha Shah Hussain Qazalbash along with organizers of processions and majalis
met the CCPO, who assured comprehensive security measures during Muharram ul Haram.
The CCPO Lahore emphasized that every possible step had been taken to ensure peace during Muharram ul Haram.
He highlighted that police, administration and law enforcement agencies were actively present in the field day and night throughout the Ashura period. He assured that high alert security would be maintained until the conclusion of processions and majalis.
The CCPO Lahore also mentioned that intelligence-based operations were ongoing to ensure foolproof security. He underscored the crucial role of religious scholars in maintaining peace and expressed determination to make Muharram-ul-Haram secure with the cooperation of all religious scholars.
