RAWALPINDI, Jul 10 (APP):Member Punjab Assembly Raja Hanif has said that efforts were being made to end dengue in Rawalpindi.
Health departments are engaged in the prevention of dengue, citizens should also cooperate with these institutions by obeying prescribed SOPs. He stressed for joint efforts to eradicate dengue.
He expressed these views while chairing a meeting regarding anti-dengue activities underway.
In the meeting, he was briefed by DDO Health Dr. Hasnain Tirmizi regarding anti-dengue activities in Rawal Town.
Raja Hanif said that dengue was a dangerous disease but avoidable by taking preventive measures.
He urged the citizens to take care of their cleanliness, make proper arrangements for continuous water drainage in the rainy season.
He directed Rawalpindi Waste Management Company (RWMC) to remain vigilant of their responsibilities for cleaning the city in collaboration with other departments.
He reiterated that the people will succeed in fighting dengue as they had done fighting the corona virus.
The meeting was attended by AC City Hakim Khan, UC Chairman of Rawal Town and others.
