LARKANA , Jul 10 (APP):President of Pakistan People’s Party Sindh and Chairman of Public Accounts Committee Sindh Nisar Khuro has said that National Finance Commission (NFC) Award was given to the provinces in 2010 but since last 10 years the award was not given.
Therefore, we request the federal government to give the NFC award to the provinces in 2025 so that they become stronger financially and economically. He expressed these views while addressing a press conference at the Larkana Press Club on Wednesday.
He said that a detailed report has been requested from all the municipal councils of Sindh regarding the funds, expenses and development works during one year.
Khuhro said that now the OZT (Budget) portion of the municipal councils has been increased, under which the union committees will get 12 lacs rupees instead of 5 lacs rupees, the funds of which should be audited.
He said that the Sindh government wants to complete the old development schemes in the province. He said that the affected gate of Sukkur Barrage will be closed till July 20 and technical engineers were working on it.
Nisar said that we want the strengthening of democracy so that the problems of the people are being solved on priority. He said that our soldiers and policemen were rendering matchless sacrifices to curb the menace of terrorism.
He said that the Public Accounts Committee will review the audit reports of all the departments of Sindh and we will try to review the audit reports of the previous years and the new year in the meeting of the Public Accounts Committee.
