LAHORE, Jul 10 (APP):Inspector General of Police (IGP) Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar has ordered for releasing over Rs 2 million for treatment of ailing and injured police officers in Lahore and other districts.
The IGP issued Rs 1.4 million for traffic warden of Lodhran police, Muhammad Dildar, for leg operation and treatment. Rs 0.2 million were released for medical expenses of injured Constable Muhammad Mujahid of Faisalabad police. Constable Zawar Hussain was given Rs 0.16 million for cancer treatment. Rs. 150,000 were released to the injured Constable Tajamul Hussain of Sialkot police for medical expenses. Injured Constable Abdul Khaliq of Faisalabad Police was given Rs 150,000 for medical expenses.
The IGP released the funds after scrutiny and approval of the Welfare Branch. He said quick rehabilitation of Ghazi personnel injured during duty is the first priority and full cooperation will continue in this regard.
