Balochistan CM for ensuring foolproof security during Muharram

QUETTA, Jul 10 (APP): Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti chaired a high-level meeting at the Chief Minister’s Secretariat here Wednesday to review the security arrangements in the province during Muharram-ul Haram.
The meeting was attended by Provincial Home Minister Mir Ziaullah Longove, Chief Secretary Balochistan Shakeel Qadir Khan, IG Police Balochistan Abdul Khaliq Sheikh, DIG Police Quetta Aitzaz Ahmed Goriyah and DG Levies Naseebullah Kakar, while Commissioner Quetta Division Hamza Shafqat attended the meeting through video link.
The meeting was briefed by the concerned authorities on the security preparations regarding Muharram-ul Haram in the province.
Addressing the meeting, the chief minister directed that full implementation of the standard operating procedures (SOPs) should be ensured for the complete security of Muharram-ul Haram processions and its majalis and the security plan prepared on the routes of Muharram processions should be fully implemented.
He also instructed that the divisional commissioners in their respective divisions should formulate a coordinated action plan for joint security arrangements with the law enforcement agencies and send the report of the steps taken regarding the security planning to the Chief Minister Secretariat.
The CM ordered that the security of sensitive districts should be made more effective and all resources should be utilized to ensure foolproof security arrangements.
