MULTAN, Jul 09 (APP): Board of Intermediate & Secondary Examination (BISE) on Tuesday declared result of First Annual Exam Results wherein pass percentage stood at 78.60.Statistical data showed that as, many as 125,896 candidates appeared in the exam while 98, 955 got through it registering 70.60 percentage while 26941 failed.
Guests of Honor MPAs Malik Lal Muhammad Joiya, Naeem Khan Bhabha, and Ms. Shazia Hayat Tareen, distributed medals, certificates, and prizes among the top students.
The results were announced by Chairman BISE, Hafiz Muhammad Qasim, along with guests of honor Malik Lal Muhammad Khan Joiya, Naeem Khan Bhabha and Shazia Hayat Khan Tareen, Board Secretary Khurram Shehzad Qureshi, Controller of Examinations Hamid Saeed Bhatti, CEO Education Lodhran Sheikh Naik Muhammad, CEO Education Vehari Muhammad Saeed, Director Colleges Multan Division A.D. Anwar, by pressing the button on the computer system.
On this occasion, Controller of Examinations provided details regarding the conduct of the exam and the preparation of results.
MPA Malik Lal Muhammad Khan Joiya praised the decision of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz to encourage students by restoring positions and addressed the students, emphasizing that respect for teachers and parents is the key to success.
He also advised teachers to impart moral values alongside education.
Ms Shazia Hayat Khan Tareen congratulated the top students, teachers, and parents and encouraged the students to maintain their positions in future exams.
She mentioned that Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif would soon invite the top students to Lahore and personally award them with cash prizes
In his welcome address Chairman BISE, Hafiz Muhammad Qasim, said that hard work never goes unrewarded. Success always follows those who work hard. Fortunate are the parents whose children have upheld their honour. He stated that the matriculation exam is the first step in practical life.
Jubilant parents, teachers besides school heads attended the ceremony.
