NARAN, Jul 09 (APP):Advisor for Tourism, Culture, and Archaeology of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Zahid Chanzeb Tuesday praised Kaghan Development Authority (KDA) for their outstanding arrangements, which ensured that the influx of tourists was well-managed and the cleanliness of the valley maintained.
He expressed these views while addressing the inauguration ceremony of a new green belt constructed by KDA for tourist convenience, hotel association officials and local dignitaries in Naran.
Zahid Chanzeb said that Naran is a prominent tourist hub in Pakistan, and highlighted that over 400,000 tourists visited Kaghan Valley during Eid ul Adha, and despite the challenges of maintaining cleanliness, KDA succeeded in keeping all tourist spots clean and clear. This effort, he noted, would significantly promote tourism in the future. He also announced the provision of two solar tube wells to address the water issues in Naran.
He assured them that the KDA board would become more active, with strict regulations against unauthorized constructions and illegal encroachments while amendments to board laws would be introduced to facilitate hotel owners.
In addition to the solar tube wells, Chanzeb announced several initiatives for Naran, including the provision of an ambulance, a fund of 3 million rupees for the repair of Sehuch Bridge, and a rented building for the Girls School Naran or its relocation to an alternative site. MPA Munir Hussain Laghmani Advocate said that the tourists faced no issues this season, emphasizing their goal to provide facilities to the tourism industry and promote the area’s tourism.
Deputy Director of KDA pointed out that the valley’s capacity is 9,000 vehicles, but 15,000 vehicles entered during the current season, caused difficulties. However, KDA staff, with the help of other institutions, managed the traffic flow and resolved issues promptly. On-the-spot orders were issued by Chanzeb and Shabbir Khan for immediate resolution of minor issues in Naran.
