FAISALABAD, Jul 09 (APP):A young woman was killed while her spouse sustained multiple injuries in a road accident in the area of Thikriwala police station.
Police spokesman said here on Tuesday that Ghulam Dastgir resident of Chak 80-JB along with his wife Malaika was going on a motorcycle when a speeding trailer hit their two-wheeler near Sabzi Mandi Sadhar.
As a result, the lady received serious injuries and died on the spot while her husband was shifted to hospital in a critical condition.
The police took the body into custody and started investigation for arrest of the trailer driver who managed to escape from the scene leaving the vehicle on the spot, spokesman added.
