Delegation of Zamindar Action Committee calls on CM Bugti

QUETTA, Jul 09 (APP):A delegation of Zamindar Action Committee (ZAC) called on Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti on Tuesday at the Chief Minister’s Secretariat.
The meeting was attended by Provincial Ministers including Mir Shoaib Noshirwani, Ali Madd Jatak, Parliamentary Secretaries Mir Liaqat Lehri, Barkat Ali Rind, Abdul Majeed Badeni, Chief Secretary Balochistan Shakeel Qadir Khan, Secretary Energy Bashir Khan Bazai, Secretary Agriculture Dawood Khan Bazai and other relevant officials.
The delegation of ZAC paid tribute to Chief Minister Balochistan Mir Sarfraz Bugti and the cabinet members for the success of the project of transferring agricultural tube wells to solar energy and said that the progress and implementation of this important project in Balochistan was a historic initiative.
The chief minister and his team have taken an important decision in the wider interest of the province beyond all political affiliations which will help in the development of agriculture in the province as a whole and in overcoming the energy crisis, the delegation members said.
Talking to the delegation, the chief minister said that the provincial government has taken practical steps to solve the long-standing problems of the landlords.
We are trying to complete the work on this project in a month to switch the tube wells to solar energy, he said.
He said that by the time this project was fully implemented, 6 hours of electricity supply would be ensured to the farmers and for the implementation of this project, he would make a joint action plan together with the landowners.
The chief minister emphasized that the provincial government should transfer the certified tube wells to solar energy with the cooperation of the landowners.
He said that legislation would also be made for the complete elimination of illegal connections, for which the government would also pass an act from the Balochistan Assembly so that no illegal connections could be made again under any circumstances.
Now it is our responsibility to complete the implementation of this important project, he said.
In the meeting, Chief Secretary Balochistan Shakeel Qadir Khan’s active and dynamic role in the implementation of the project was also appreciated.
