KP Minister directs making posting/transfers under e-transfer policy

PESHAWAR, Jul 09 (APP):KP Minister for Elementary and Secondary Education, Faisal Khan Tarakai on Tuesday issued directives to authorities for making all posting/transfers under e-transfer policy and all posting/transfers made through other procedures will be completely banned.
He issued these directives while presiding over a a review meeting of the Elementary & Secondary Education Department here. The meeting was attended by Secretary Education Masood Ahmed, Special Secretary Asfandyar Khattak, Additional Secretary General Abdul Karam, Director Education Samina Altaf and other senior officials of the Education Department.
He said that as per the e-transfer policy, posting/transfer will be made only once in a year and that too at the end of the academic year or during vacations on merit and under a transparent system.  No teacher will need to visit the offices and will be able to apply for the advertised vacancies online through an automated system.
Faisal Khan Tarakai has directed the authorities of the department to send back all those teaching cadre employees who were posted on the posts of the management cadre to schools.
The minister was also briefed on the vacant posts across the province. He said that the recruitment process will start as soon as possible to meet the shortage of teachers.  All types of attachment and detailing will be banned across the province, he added.
In a briefing on the double shift school programme, the minister was told that a total of 69,000 students are enrolled under this programme. The number of such schools is 1453 while 8349 employees are part of the programme.
