LAHORE, Jan 28 (APP):On the order of Punjab Ombudsman Major (retd) Azam Suleman Khan, a total of 31 kanals of government land worth more than Rs 21.2 million was recovered.
The Ombudsman office received complaints from diverse sources across the province, highlighting instances of illegal farming on the government land, encroachment on the government pastures, and unauthorised occupation of government properties. The complainants requested for retrieval of the government land from individuals, engaged in encroachments and unlawful activities.
Ombudsman Azam Suleman Khan issued directives to the provincial officers concerned, directing them to dispose of the designated area in Sahiwal and Toba Tek Singh in accordance with the rules, set by the provincial government.
