KARACHI, Jan 19 (APP): Shipping activity reported at the Port where six ships namely, Meratus Jayakarta, Lucky Star, Victoria Kosan, Benue, Ullswater and Jal Kalpavriksh carrying Containers, Palm oil, Chemicals, LNG, LPG and Coal, berthed at Container Terminal, Liquid Terminal, Engro Terminal, Gas Terminal, Sui Southern Gas Terminal and Bulk Cargo Terminal respectively on Thursday.
Meanwhile seven more ships, Wide Alpha, RDO Concord, Hafnia Raven, Bolan, Sea Delta, Al-Ruwais and IVS Windsor to
load/unload Containers, Petroleum Product, Chemicals, LNG and Coal also arrived at outer anchorage of the Port Qasim during last 24 hours.
A total of ten ships were engaged at PQA berths during the last 24 hours, out of them Bulk cargo carrier ‘Poly-World’ left the port on today and five more ships, Lucky Star, Parnassos, Victoria Kosan, Hafnia Myna and Wide Alpha are expected to sail on same day afternoon.
A cargo volume of 165,334 tonnes, comprising 117,112 tonnes imports cargo and 48,222 tonnes export cargo carried in 1,500 Containers (1,300 TEUs import and 200 TEUs export) was handled at the port during last 24 hours.
There are 11 ships at Outer Anchorage of Port Qasim, out of them five ships, Wide Alpha, RDO Concord, Hafnia Raven, Ashico Victoria and Al-Ruwais are expected to take berths at QICT, FOTCO, MW-2 and EETL on today, 19 th
January, while three more container ships, AS Sicilia, CMA CGM Nabucco and X-Press Salween are due to arrive at Port Qasim on Saturday.
