LAHORE, Oct 08 (APP):Provincial Minister for Health, Social Welfare and Baitul Maal Prof Dr. Javed Akram delivered a resounding commitment on behalf of the Punjab government to bolster the field of rehabilitation sciences.
He made this announcement during an address as the distinguished guest at the fourth International Conference on Rehabilitation Sciences at a local hotel on Sunday.
In his speech, Professor Dr. Javed Akram reaffirmed, “The Punjab government is fully prepared to provide comprehensive support to dedicated individuals working tirelessly to advance the field of rehabilitation sciences.”
During his address, Professor Dr. Javed Akram expressed his appreciation for the conference organisers, saying, “I extend my warm congratulations to the organisers for the significant conference. Pakistan faces a growing prevalence of hereditary diseases, with thousands of children born with congenital conditions.”
He emphasized the pivotal role of cutting-edge research in safeguarding the Pakistani population against grave health risks, stating, “It is imperative that we engage in advanced research endeavors to protect the well-being of our nation.”
Furthermore, he highlighted that the establishment of the University of Child Health Sciences represents a crucial initiative aimed at securing the health of the nation’s children against life-threatening diseases.
Under the visionary leadership of Punjab Chief Minister Syed Mohsin Naqvi, Professor Dr. Javed Akram assured that the government remains steadfast in its commitment to providing the public with top-tier healthcare facilities.
In a historic development, government hospitals in Punjab have introduced Artificial Intelligence systems for the first time in history, marking a significant advancement in healthcare technology and services, he announced.
The conference boasted participation from more than thirty distinguished international medical experts, representing various specialized fields within the medical profession. Collaboratively organized with the support of Ripha University and thirteen esteemed educational institutions, the conference aimed to address critical issues within the realm of rehabilitation sciences.
