KARACHI, Oct 08 (APP): Sindh Caretaker Minister for Law, Religious Affairs and Human Rights Omar Soomro on Sunday inaugurated an exhibition on Yahya Kemal, a portrait of a poet as the first Turkish Ambassador to Pakistan, at Arts Council of Pakistan -Karachi.
Consul General of Turkiye to Karachi Cemal Sangu and Professor. Dr. Halil Toker Director Yunus Emre Institute Pakistan were also present on the occasion.
The exhibition was organized by the Yunus Emre Institute Pakistan.
A number of portirats were put on display.
Speaking on the occasion, the Sindh Caretaker Minister Omar Soomro said that Pakistan and Turkiye had old and brotherly relations. He said that Pakistan had been always with their Turkish brothers and sisters.
Consul General of Turkiye to Karachi Cemal Sangu said that today was a very remarkable day. He said that Pakistan and Turkiye were celebrating their 75 years of diplomatic relations.
He said we were two countries but one nation. He further said we had the same culture and same values.
