KARACHI, Sep 28 (APP):Tree ships namely, Maersk Pelepas, X-Press Bardsey and Sunray carrying Containers and Mogas, berthed at Container Terminal and FOTCO Oil Terminal respectively on Wednesday.
Meanwhile two more ships, Seaspan Ganges and APL Le Havre with Containers also arrived at outer anchorage of the port during last 24 hours.
A total of eight ships were engaged at PQA berths during the last 24 hours, out of them, four ships, X-Press Bardsey, MSC Greenwich, Maersk Pelepas and Hafnia Tanzanite left the port on today morning, while another bulk carrier KaptaDimitros is expected to sail on Thursday.
Cargo throughput of 162,544tonnes, comprising 113,737 tonnes imports cargo and 48,807 tonnes export cargo, including containerized cargo carried in 3,990 Containers (1,119 TEUs Imports and 2,871 TEUs export) was handled at the port during last 24 hours.
There are ten ships at Outer Anchorage of Port Qasim, out of them two ships, Yankul and ALP LE Havre & another ship‘Singapore’ carrying Palm oil and Containers are expected to take berths at Liquid Terminal and Containers Terminal respectively on Thursday, while two more container ships, SSL Mumbai and Suape Express are due to arrive at Port Qasim on Friday.
