BAHAWALPUR, Sep 27 (APP):A high-level delegation from the neighboring People’s Republic of China’s Anhui University of Chinese Medicine and Tang China Education and Technology Limited visited Islamia University Bahawalpur.
The delegation included Gui Shuang Ying Dean of the School of Chinese Medicine, Tang Wai Dean of the Faculty of Acupuncture, Moxibustion, and Twin, Zhuo Yadong Dean of the School of Humanities and International Education and Exchange, Li Hui Director of External Affairs, School of Humanities and International Education and Exchange, Maxima Director, and Executive President Tang Pakistan, Wang Keyhong was the director of the strategic cooperation leg China and the ISSRSHKUR project manager leg Pakistan.
On behalf of Islamia University Bahawalpur, Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Naveed Akhtar, Registrar Prof. Dr. Moazzam Jameel, Dean Faculty of Medicine and Allied Health Sciences Prof. Dr. Saeed Ahmed, Principal College of Conventional Medicine Dr. Mohammad Asif, Registrar Prof. Dr. Moazzam Jameel, Director Media and Public Relations Shahzad Ahmed Khalid, faculty members and officers were present.
On this occasion, an agreement was signed between Islamia University Bahawalpur, Anhui University of Chinese Medicine, and Tang China Education and Technology for cooperation in the field of higher education.
This agreement is part of the cooperation between institutions of both countries in the field of higher education in the context of the historic Pakistan-China friendship, under which manpower training, technology exchange, and joint educational programs and projects will be launched to strengthen the already existing social, cultural and economic relations between the neighboring countries.
Under the agreement, bachelor’s degree and MPhil programs will be started, which will create employment opportunities, promote physical and online teaching in addition to commercial, cultural, and technical issues, and will benefit teachers and students. Scholarships will be provided to male and female students to study with each other.
Speaking on the occasion, Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Naveed Akhtar said that Pakistan-China friendship is sound and the neighborly and brotherly relationship has been established for the past 70 years and is getting stronger day by day.
The leadership of both countries has always maintained this relationship. Islamia University Bahawalpur is benefiting from this fraternal relationship of both countries.
In Pakistan, teaching and research are going on at a high level in 12 universities in the field of Oriental medicine. Islamia University Bahawalpur has a special position in Oriental Medicine and Allied Health Sciences. In this regard, cooperation with Chinese universities and institutions is being promoted.
Recently, a high-level delegation of Islamia University visited Chinese universities and now the arrival of a Chinese university delegation to Islamia University Bahawalpur is very welcome.
On this occasion, the representative of Anhui University of Chinese Medicine said that cooperation between the two universities for teaching and research is very important. He thanked the Vice-Chancellor and Principal College of Conventional Medicine for the excellent hospitality and appreciated the historic status of Bahawalpur and Jamia Islamia and the beauty of the campus.
