GILGIT, Sep 15 (APP): Home Minister Gilgit-Baltistan (GB) Shamsul Haq Lone said on Friday that the mobile 4G service will not be restored in Gilgit-Baltistan until October 1.
Talking to the media here, he said if the service is restored, the situation may worsen, adding that it has been decided to keep the mobile 4G service closed for another two to three weeks.
“The aim is to keep the law and order situation under control in the area, he said.
The home minister said both the user and the government were aware of the difficulties faced by the closure of the service, “we are also facing problems in connection, but there was no solution other than what to do,” he remarked.
He said something is being done in the interest of the people. We want to pave the way for sustainable peace in the region. He said that no one will be allowed to challenge the government’s writ and the enemies of peace will be dealt with strictly.
