Hot, humid weather with scattered to isolated rains, thunderstorms likely in KP

PESHAWAR, Sep 15 (APP):The Provincial Meteorological Center Peshawar on Friday predicted that hot and humid weather is expected over most districts of the province.
However, it said scattered thunderstorm-rains associated with gusty winds is likely to occur over Chitral, Dir (Upper & Lower), Malakand, Swat, Buner, Shangla, Kohistan, Battagram, Torghar, Mansehra, Abbottabad and Haripur districts during evening and night.
Isolated thunderstorm-rains associated with gusty winds is likely to occur over Swabi, Mardan, Charsadda, Peshawar, Nowshera, Bajaur, Mohmand, Khyber, Orakzai, Hangu, Kurram, Karak, Bunnu and Kohat districts in evening/ night. Dust raising/gusty winds are also expected in plain areas of the province.
During the last 24 hours, hot and humid weather prevailed over most districts of the province. However, rain-thunderstorms occurred in Dir, Buner, Mansehra and Khyber districts. Rain recorded in (mm): Dir Upper 22, Balakot 21, Buner 02, Tirah-Khyber 01 and Pashat Bajaur Trace.
The maximum and minimum temperatures recorded in centigrade at different stations of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa were Peshawar City 39/27, Chitral 35/20, Timergara 37/25, Dir 32/19, Mirkhani 37/17, Kalam 27/12, Drosh 34/22, Saidu Sharif 36/19, Pattan 38/27, Malam Jabba 23/15, Takht Bhai 39/28, Kakul 31/22, Balakot 36/21, Parachinar 27/13, Bannu 41/25, Cherat 32/21, D.I. Khan 41/27.
The highest temperature recorded in the province was 41°c in Dera Ismail Khan and Bannu.
