DERA ISMAIL KHAN, Sep 13 (APP):Ex-Station House Officer (SHO) is sentenced to a term of three years imprisonment and a Rs 100,000 fine after being found guilty under KP CNSA, 2019.
Additional Sessions Judge-VI Muhammad Ilyas Khan ordered for arrest of the Ex-SHO of Chaudhwan Police Station Mukhtiar Ahmad and shifted him into jail after he was found guilty under Section 32 of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Control of Narcotics Substances Act 2019 (KP CNSA,2019).
The verdict said that a Rs 100,000 fine, if not paid, could amount to a further two six months of simple imprisonment.
During the hearing of the case, Hafiz Mohsin appeared as the defence counsel while Tanseer Mehdi as the prosecutor.
Later, the police moved to the Peshawar High Court’s Dera Ismail Khan Bench against the decision of Additional Sessions Judge-VI.
According to a police spokesman, the police team led by SP Investigation Iqbal Baloch and DSP City Adnan Khan filed an appeal against the decision in the Peshawar High Court’s Dera Ismail Khan Bench.
