11 drug peddlers netted with over 16 kg charras

RAWALPINDI, Sep 12 (APP): Rawalpindi police in an action against suspected drug peddlers conducted raids in different areas and rounded up 11 accused on recovery of over 16 kg charras.

According to a police spokesman, Pirwadhai police rounded up Shahzaib for having 1460 grams charras, Jibran for carrying 1310 grams charras and Qasir Naseer with 1440 grams charras. Rattaamral police rounded up Abdul Ghafoor for possessing over 2.2 kg charras while Gujar Khan police netted Ibrar with 2.4 kg charras.

Saddar Wah police arrested Suleman for having 1380 grams charras.
Morgah police nabbed Najeebullah for possessing 1265 grams charras while Gungmandi police recovered 1250 grams charras from the possession of Jamshaid.

Sadiqabad, Westridge and Race Course police also seized 3700 grams and netted Faisal, Hamza and Sher Khan.
Separate cases have been registered against all accused while further investigations are underway.

City Police Officer, Rawalpindi had directed the police officers to accelerate ongoing operations against drug peddlers, bootleggers and other lawbreakers, he added.
