Over Rs 85406m tax collected during current FY: Excise Minister

KARACHI, Mar 09 (APP): Sindh Minister for Excise, Taxation and Narcotics Control Department Mukesh Kumar Chawla on Thursday said that Sindh Excise and Taxation Department collected Rs 85406.361 million tax in the current financial year from July 2022 to February 2023.

Chawla termed the overall situation of tax collection as satisfactory and expressed the hope that the tax targets would be achieved before the end of the current financial year.

According to details, Rs 6961.726 million was collected in motor vehicle tax, Rs 73868.504 million in infrastructure cases, Rs 335.554 million in Professional Tax and Rs 3.308 million in Cotton fee.

The provincial Excise Minister advised the tax defaulters to take advantage of the online tax filing facility.
