Muqam reviews progress on PM’s announcements for Swat

PESHAWAR, Dec 19 (APP): Advisor to Prime Minister Amir Muqam on Monday chaired a high level meeting and reviewed progress on the announcements of development projects made by Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif on May 20 during his visit to Swat.
The meeting was informed by Chairman National Highway Authority (NHA) that work on Chakdarra-Kalam expressway and survey feasibility tenders for Basha-Khawazakhela were started from November 18 and 22.
He said that the consultant would start survey work on Basha-
Khawazakhela from January 30 and as soon he submits the survey study the work on the road would start, adding that work on Behrain-Kalam road would start from March.
Meanwhile Chairman Higher Education Commission informed the Advisor to the Prime Minister that the campus of Swat University has already opened in Shangla and as per the directives a building is being hired for hostels.
Advisor to Prime Minister Amir Muqam directed Chairman HEC to also hire building for Women University and hostel beside possessing land for setting up of the campus.
He directed PESCO Chief Executive and other officials to complete work
on grids stations in Matta and Kabal in two weeks and also expedite work on Poran Grid Station.
The officials of Pakistan Sport Board (PSB) and Civil Aviation Authority
(CAA) briefed the Advisor regarding setting up of Astroturf Hockey Club and Saidu Shairf Airport respectively.
The advisor directed PSB to complete PC-1 for Astroturf Hockey Club in
January and start the construction work. He asked the CAA to expedite possession of land for the airport besides asking Chairman PIA, Secretary CAA and Director CAA to submit a report by next month for making the existing airport useful for the flights.
