Senate passes ‘The Corporate Rehabilitation Bill, 2015’

ISLAMABAD, DEC 19 (APP): Upper House of the Parliament Monday passed ‘The Corporate Rehabilitation Bill, 2015’ with majority.
The bill was moved by Senator Saleem Mandviwala and supported by 25 senators while 21 senators opposed the bill.
In support of bill, Mandviwala said it was in larger interest of the country and it would provide rehabilitation and restructuring of corporate entities.
The senate passed all 82 clauses and made them part of the bill.
Earlier, Minister for Law Zahid Hamid said the government was already working on the bill and consultation was in progress with the stakeholders to move it with consensus.
