Fazl for giving political autonomy to FATA

PESHAWAR, Dec 18 (APP): Jamiat Ulema e Islam F central leader Maulana Fazlur Rehman on Sunday said tribal people should be given the right to decide whether the FATA be merged in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa or established as a province.
Addressing Tribal Peace Conference here, he said that his party
rejects the draconian FCR law as it was drafted and implemented by foreigners, adding that JUI F fully support the demands of tribal
people to decide their fate.
He said whatever the government may decide about FATA but the actual decision would be taken by the tribal people. The JUI F would continue supporting the tribal people until they get their rights.
Criticizing the reform committee on FATA, Fazl said that the reform committee is intending to take those decisions that are against the
reforms.
Meanwhile, the JUI F leader condemned maltreatment in Halb and Barma
and said JUI F would stage countrywide protest against maltreatment with Muslims on December 23.
