KARACHI, Nov 11 (APP): Federal Minister for Planning and Development, Prof Ahsan Iqbal Friday said Green Line Bus Service was  being launched here in collaboration with the federal government for solving the local travelling problems.

The federal government was also contributing Rs six billion for the bulk water supply project in Karachi, he added.

Ahsan was talking to reporters here after attending a function at
the HEJ Research Institute of Chemistry, University of Karachi, where
he inaugurated the 800 MHz Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) machine at the International Centre for Chemical and Biological Sciences (ICCBS).

He said had the elected PML-N government not dislodged in 1999, there would have been thousands of Ph.Ds. in the country by now.

The educational projects initiated by the PML-N government at that
time were cancelled by the then government of Pervez Musharraf, he added.
