HYDERABAD, Jul 25 (APP):The candidates of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) secured highest votes in the 4 polling stations of LA 34 Jammu and LA 40 Kashmir Valley set up for the general elections of Azad Kashmir here on Sunday.
As many as 49 votes of the former constituency and 190 of the latter were registered in Hyderabad against which 18 and 129 votes were cast, respectively, according to the unofficial results.
At polling station of Government Boys English Medium Primary School Bengali Colony for LA 40 the PPP’s Aamir Abdul Ghaffar Lon secures 51 votes, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’ (PTI) Muhammad Saleem Butt 9, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz’ (PML-N) Tahir Ali Wani 2 and Pak Sarzameen Party’s (PSP) Shabbir Ahmed Khan 2.
A total of 85 votes were registered at the station and 64 were cast.
The PPP’s Lon bagged 58 votes and PTI’s Butt 1 at polling station for LA 40 at Government Boys Primary School, Aachar Gaho village, Qasimabad.
The station witnessed more than 90 percent turnout with 59 voters out of 62 exercised their right.
Similarly, Lon was achieved 24 votes and Butt 2 at Government Primary School New Hali Road polling station where 26 out of the total of 43 votes were cast.
Separately, a total of 18 votes were cast against 49 registered votes at Government Primary Boys High School, Hali Road, polling station for LA 34 Jammu.
The PPP’ Zahid Iqbal obtained 16 votes and Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan’s (TLP) Fazlur Rehman 2 votes.
