ISLAMABAD, July 19 (APP):Minister for Information Broadcasting and National Heritage Senator Pervaiz Rashid Tuesday strongly condemned the excessive and illegal use of force against innocent Kashmiris, particularly women and children, by the Indian security forces.
Terming the unleashing of terror and siege of innocent
Kashmiris by Indian forces as barbaric,the Minister said in a statement that such attempts to silence the people of Kashmir to voice their right to self determination can never succeed through intimidation and oppression.
He said that the sacrifices of the people of Kashmir for their
just cause would not go in vain and the atrocities committed by Indian security forces against them would be remembered as brutal and black chapter of illegal Indian occupation of Kashmir.
Information Minister added that the people of Pakistan are
observing Black Day to express their sympathy and solidarity with the Kashmiri people who are suffering at the hands of occupied forces.
Senator Pervaiz Rashid said that Pakistan would continue its
support to the just cause of the people of Kashmir in exercising their right of self determination. Pakistan, he said is committed to extend moral and diplomatic support to the people of Kashmir and believes that the solution to the dispute lies in abiding by UN Resolutions in accordance with the aspirations of the people of Kashmir, the minister emphasized.
He also urged international community to use its influence
over India to stop brutal violence in Kashmir and initiate a dialogue for the resolutions of longstanding dispute. Pakistan hopes that India will realize that its present policy of oppression will only further complicate the situation and create instability in the region, Pervaiz Rashid added.
