Rs 30651.173 million allocated for 15 ongoing, three new health projects

ISLAMABAD, June 3 (APP): The government has allocated an amount of
Rs 30651.173 million for completion of 15 ongoing and three new projects
of Ministry of National Health Services, Regulations and Coordination Division
under Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP) for fiscal year 2016-17.
According to the budgetary document released here Friday, out of
total amount, Rs 30282.283 has been earmarked for ongoing schemes while Rs
368.890 million has been allocated for new schemes.
An amount of Rs 11000 million has been allocated for national programme
for family planning and primary health care while an amount of Rs 6700.000 million has been allocated for expanded programme on immunization (EPI), Islamabad.
The government has allocated Rs 7705.145 million for population welfare programme for provinces while an amount of Rs 2000 million has been allocated for Prime Minister’s national health insurance programme.
An amount of Rs 1046.219 million has been allocated for national maternal, neonatal and child health programme (MNCH) while Rs 684.000 million has been allocated for Prime Minister Programme for Prevention and Control of Hepatitis.
The government has allocated Rs 273.356 million for population welfare programme (AJK) while an amount of Rs 247 million has been allocated for national programme for prevention and control of blindness.
In new schemes, the government has allocated Rs 300 million for cancer hospital, Islamabad while Rs 50 million has been allocated for common unit to manage global fund. Similarly, an amount of Rs 18.890 million has been allocated for up-gradation of supply and filling line to improve the vaccine supply and filling system to achieve CGMP standards at NIH, Islamabad.
