Senator Faisal Javed expresses govt’s commitment for revival of Sports culture

ISLAMABAD, Dec 4 (APP):Senator Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Faisal Javed Wednesday expressed his governments’ commitment for revival of Sports culture with long-term policies which would have a positive impact on Sports in future and improve the performance of the country’s athletes.

Talking to private news channel, Faisal Javed said PTI government would not disappoint fans of Sports and Prime Minister Imran Khan will now focus on improving sports, especially cricket.

Faisal said that the Imran Khan could not concentrate on cricket earlier as he was focused on stabilizing the economy and strengthening the institutions.

The senator said that his party’s government will try to fix cricket through a long-term policy. He also added that the PTI leaders have held discussions on the recent decisions of the Pakistan Cricket Board regarding the national team.

Commenting on the PCB’s new domestic structure, the senator said that the new domestic structure will give positive results.

Faisal Javed explained that everyone was aware of the difficult economic conditions left by the previous governments for the country, which was why the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf-led (PTI) government had decided at the start of its term to take measures to bring the country out of the crisis first.

He said the former corrupt rulers deprived the common man from the basic issues, adding the past rulers had only created mafias during their 30 years previous rule.

He said PTI government will now sincerely focus on promotion of sports particularly playing pivotal role in reviving the past glory of Pakistan’s sports on international standards.

He said revival of all national institutions including sports through reforms was among the foremost priorities of Imran Khan’s government.
Senator says when PTI government assumed power, it found all national institutions were in disarray and loss.

Faisal observed that Pakistan had a very rich culture and sports were an integral part of it as every person in Pakistan was a sportsman at heart and Prime minister himself had a great experience in the field of Sports so he will surly focused on it.

The objective of sports policy is to choose the direction for the development of sports in the country.

He said there is dire need to focus on test cricket and inshAllah in near future people will observe a positive change in cricket and other sports departments.

Pakistan Tahreek-i-Insaf (PTI) Senator Faisal Javed Khan also expressed the hope that Pakistan’s economy will “take off in 2020 under the leadership of Prime Minister Imran Khan.”
