Sincere efforts underway for peaceful end of sit-in: Chaudhry Parvez Elahi

ISLAMABAD, Nov 7 (APP):Speaker Punjab Assembly Chuadhry Parvez Elahi on Thursday said that sincere efforts were underway to end dharna (sit-in) peacefully as the meetings with Jamiat e Ulma Islam ( JUI-F) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman were continuing.
He said that Pakistan Muslim League (PML) President and former Prime Minister Chaudhry Shujat Hussain also making efforts to end the impasse in dialogue between the government and JUI-F.
Chaudhry Parvez Elahi talking to media persons here at Maulana Fazlur Rehman’s residence said that talks with JUI-F leaders were continued for more than one hour today.
Responding to a question, he said “We are hopeful and things are moving towards betterment.”
He hoped that good news would be shared after completion of talks.
To another question, he said that many proposals were under consideration and positive results would emerge soon.
