Parvez stresses launching mass contact campaign for boosting relations with Switzerland

ISLAMABAD, Nov 6 (APP):Speaker Punjab Assembly Chaudhry Parvez Elahi Wednesday stressed launching a mass contact campaign for boosting bilateral trade between Switzerland and Pakistan.

Talking to a delegation headed by Swiss Confederation Council of State President Jean-Rene Fournier and Switzerland Ambassador Thomas Kolly, he stressed promoting people to people contact between the two countries, said a press release.

The delegation included Chief of International Relations in the Swiss Parliament Claudio Fisher, Swiss Confederation Council of State former President Hans Altherr and Senator Professor Dr Mehr Taj Roghani.

Jean-Rene Fournier said that in the prevailing political situation the role of understanding and appeasement being played by Chaudhry Parvez Elahi was quite appreciable. He lauded the services rendered by Ch Parvez Elahi as Chief Minister Punjab and the proposals for promoting mass peoples contact between the two countries are worth following.
