PM invites Swiss businesses to take advantage of investor-friendly environment in Pakistan

ISLAMABAD, Nov 6 (APP):Prime Minister Imran Khan Wednesday invited the Swiss businesses to invest in Pakistan by taking advantage of the improved security situation, government’s investor friendly policies and the booming tourism industry.
He was talking to Jean Rene Fournier, President of the Council of States of Swiss Confederation who called on him here.
The Prime Minister congratulated Mr Fournier on successful holding of the Swiss elections on October 20, 2019.
He expressed his satisfaction at the bilateral relations between the two countries and expressed his desire to further strengthen them.
The Prime Minister highlighted the role of Parliamentary interactions for enhancing bilateral relations.
He apprised the President of the Swiss Council of States of the recent developments in the Indian Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IOJK).
The Prime Minister highlighted the dire humanitarian crisis and the negative impact on regional peace and security situation due to India’s illegal actions taken in violation of international law and UNSC resolutions.
Since August 5, an inhuman lockdown had continued with curfew and communications blockade in IOJK, he added.
The Prime Minister called for the international community to play its role in the immediate lifting of the siege and facilitating a just and durable solution of the Jammu and Kashmir dispute.
