Parvez Elahi hopeful about success of talks with opposition

ISLAMABAD, Nov 5 (APP):Punjab Assembly Speaker Chuadhry Parvez Elahi, who is a member of the Government Negotiation Committee, Tuesday said he was hopeful about success of the talks with the opposition.

Talking to the media after a meeting of the government committee with the opposition’s Rahbar Committee, he said the parleys between the two sides were a right step.

The two committees held good consultations and more time was required for a headway, he said, adding he also held a meeting with Prime Minister Imran Khan.

About the Islamic constitutional provisions, he said there was complete consensus in that regard. If any development was made about the election reforms, it would be shared with the media accordingly, he added.
