Buzdar reviews revenue deptt, PLRA performance

LAHORE, Nov 03 (APP):Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar here Sunday chaired a meeting to reveiew performance of Revenue Department and Punjab Land Record Authority (PLRA).
During the meeting, Usman Buzdar approved the change of post of Patwari and said that Patwari would be redesignated as village officer with Grade 14, and they would be inducted through the Punjab Public Service Commission and six months
compulsory training will be undertaken.
He also granted approval for giving laptops to Village Officers.
The meeting also decided to formulate service structure for promotion of the staff of Punjab Land Record Authority, besides making a tehsil of Lahore as a Model one with
regard to revenue for which the chief minister directed the commissioner Lahore to take steps accordingly.
Usman Buzdar also directed to set up 115 Arazi Centers in far-flung areas of the province by the month of December.
The PTI government was taking revolutionary measures in order to provide ease in revenue matters, he added.
Bank counters would also be established for payment at the Land Record Centers. With the setting up of such bank counters, he said, citizens would not have to visit Arazi Centers time and again.
The chief minister directed that citizens should not face any difficulty with regard to obtaining land documents.
The proposal to change the designations of Assistant Director Land Record into Tehsildar and Land Record Officer into Naib-Tehsildar was also reviewed during the meeting.
A senior member Board of Revenue gave a detailed briefing to the chief minister.
Provincial Minister Mian Aslam Iqbal, Malik Muhammad Anwar, Chief Secretary, Principal Secretary to CM, Secretaries of departments’ concerned and senior officials also attended the meeting.
