Record number of children killed, maimed in conflict; UN report

UNITED NATIONS, Jul 30 (APP):More than 12,000 children were killed and injured in armed conflicts last year – a record number – with Afghanistan, the Palestinians, Syria and Yemen topping the casualty list, according to a new U.N. report. The report found that 2018 was the worst year on record for children caught up in armed conflict since the United Nations began monitoring the violation.
