UN chief calls for stepping up efforts to help persons with disabilities

UNITED NATIONS, Jun 12 (APP):UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres has urged the international community to take more actions to ensure the realization of rights of all persons with disabilities.

“When we fight to secure those rights, we move our world closer to upholding the core values and principles of the United Nations Charter”, he explained.

“When we remove policies or biases or obstacles to opportunity for persons with disabilities, the whole world benefits”.
