Services sector grows 4.7 pc in FY2019

ISLAMABAD, June 10 (APP):The services sector posted a growth 4.71 percent during the outgoing fiscal year 2018-19, according to Pakistan Economy Survey (2018-19) released here Monday by Advisor to Prime Minister on Finance, Dr Abdul Hafeez Shaikh.

According to the Survey, the wholesale and retail trade sector grew at a rate of 3.11 percent.
As value added in this sector depends upon output of agriculture and manufacturing sectors and volume of imports, the bulk of growth in wholesale and retail sector could be attributed to increase in volume of imports and the growth in livestock, it added.
