ISLAMABAD, Jun 3 (APP):Minister for Power Omar Ayub Khan Monday announced that there would be no load-shedding and load-management during the Eid-ul-Fitr holidays across the country.
In a video message, he said, out of 8,790 feeders, no load-shedding was being carried out on 80 percent feeders across the country.
The minister said the government was determined to carry forward the campaign against electricity theft across the country.
He sought public assistance to point out electricity theft in their respective areas. “We will reach the persons involved in electricity theft through you and will expose them,” he added.
The minister said that FIRs (First Information Reports) had been registered against the people involved in power pilferage.
Omar Ayub said it was for the first time that there was no load-shedding during Sehr and Iftar in the holy month of Ramazan.
“This was the promise of Prime Minister Imran Khan that there will be zero load-shedding during Sehr and Iftar and we acted upon the directives of the PM,” he added.
He also appreciated the performance of the ministry officials and distribution companies in this regard.
