Addressing problems of media workers govt’s priority: Firdous

ISLAMABAD, May 28 (APP):Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Information and Broadcasting Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan Tuesday said it was the top priority of the government to address the problems of journalist community.

Addressing media persons outside the Parliament House, she said the government was well aware about the problems of media workers.

Firdous Ashiq Awan said the prime minister had given the responsibility to Principle Secretary, Yousaf Baig Mirza and me (Firdous Ashiq Awan) for addressing the issues of media workers.

She said the previous government had put the media industry in crises as they did not clear the dues of media houses, adding the government had taken suggestions from the elected representatives of the media for addressing the issues.
