Gas companies directed to submit compliance report against pilferers on daily basis

ISLAMABAD, May 17 (APP):Minister for Petroleum Omar Ayub Khan Friday directed both Sui Northern Gas Companies Limited (SNGPL) and Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) to submit compliance report against gas pilferers on daily basis.
Minister Omar Ayub and Special Assistant to the Prime Minister (SAPM) Nadeem Babar have directed the two state companies to take stern action against the gas pilferers, a press release said.
Omar warned the companies that the government would not tolerate line loses in any regional of SNGPL and SSGC.
The SAPM advised the companies to launch special drives to prevent gas theft and create awareness among consumers about measures to bring down line loses and judicious utilization of the commodity.
