ISLAMABAD, May 16 (APP):Special Assistant to Prime Minister for Information and Broadcasting Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan Thursday said increasing dollar prices had no link with the deal of International Monetary Fund (IMF).
There was no any condition imposed from the IMF to increase the dollar price, she said while talking to a private news channel.
She said the State Bank of Pakistan was a independent institution who regulate the banking sector in the country.
She said in the whole world it was not responsibility of any government to control currency prices but they just make mechanism for the purpose.
Firdous Ashiq said opposition and media should show their responsibility and avoid to spread disinformation regarding the matter.
Replying to a question, she said people would not support the opposition if it would launch any movement against the incumbent government because they were well aware about the corruption of previous governments.
She said the present government was facing economic challenges due to bad governance of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) and corrupt practices of their leadership which had made during their previous tenures.
Sindh government should resolve their provincial matters and focused to provide basic necessities to the people of the province rather than criticizing the federal government, she added.
Special Assistant said spreading Aids (HIV) was a serious issue of the Sindh government which should be resolved on priority basis, adding that deprivations were prevailed in the people of the province which should be resolved through good governance and avoiding corrupt practices.
She said people were asking to both the political parties regarding money laundering and massive corruption but both were failed to reply proper answers in that regard.
The PML-N should have to tell correct date about returning of the opposition leader Shehbaz Sharif in the country, she added.
Prime Minister Imran Khan was the hope of the people and he was only political leader who is most popular among the people of Pakistan, adding that he was known as credible and honest person national and international level.
The incumbent government was moving forward with reforms agenda and building the institutions through reforms.
She said ideal situation would be brought in the country with passage of time and the PTI government would prove it through its performance and devotions.
