ISLAMABAD, May 10 (APP):Ministry of Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development Friday rebutted a news item appearing in a section of the press about its ‘unsatisfactory performance.’

“There is no inquiry ordered by the Prime Minister regarding nepotism or corruption in this Ministry. The news regarding the performance of Ministry and the appointment of officers against rules is baseless,” it said in a press release.

The ministry said disinformation was being spread through such a baseless news to achieve ulterior motives of a Media Group that wanted “to diminish the stature of this Ministry through planned media campaigns in print and electronic media.”

It regretted that the article/news item was published without proper research to malign the government institution.
