ISLAMABAD, May 10 (APP):Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Youth Affairs Usman Dar Friday said
the previous governments were responsible for deteriorated economic conditions
and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf government was striving to boost the economy.
Talking to a private news channel, Usman Dar said the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) government did approach the International Monetary Fund (IMF) to tackle
issue of heavy debts, taken by previous governments.
He said the PTI government had to bear the burden of interest payments
on massive borrowing by PML-N government during its tenure 2013-18 The PTI leader said the opposition must not worry about International Monetary Fund and some recent official appointments, rather they should focus on answering their own record number of corruption cases.
He said it was the need of the hour to address the economic challenges of
the country, rather than securing political interests.
He said PTI government’s top priority was to minimize the losses of public sector entities in order to improve their overall performance.
He pointed out previous PML-N government was responsible for present highest inflation that has put a severe financial burden on common man.
Replying to a question, he said leader of opposition Shehbaz Sharif had skipped away from the country while Nawaz Sharif, currently in prison, also
made attempt to flee abroad but failed.
He said ‘Give Respect to Vote’ was the slogan of PML-N but they totally
failed. Whenever Sharif brothers were made accountable, they tried to run away
from the country, he added.
He said assets of the leadership of both political parties had increased
during their tenures while the economy was badly destroyed.
Usman Dar assured that the government of Prime Minister Imran Khan was making serious efforts for improving the national economy.
He said that Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf PTI) chief Imran Khan would achieve success in every field due to his hard work, dedication and commitment.
About the appointment of Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) Chairman Shabbar Zaidi, he said it was also a good development where the technical post has to be
run by technical people and those who were opposing Shabbar Zaidi’ appointment, are somehow wasting their time.
